I'm sure someone here can help!

2 simple questions regarding "all other income"
I'm trying to determine where/if the following should be reported:
    1. gifts of cash (Christmas/Birthday)
    2. cash advance/bal. transfer checks (from credit card)
In both cases these appear as deposits on my bank acct. statements.
Specifically the 2 entries I'm wondering about are:
    1. Statement of Monthly Income: page 3, line 10: Income from all other sources.
    2. Statement of Financial Affairs: page 2, line 2: Income other than from employment or operation of business.
    Perhaps there are others(?)

Additionally, I have one other issue that has been somewhat confusing:
Statement of Financial Affairs: page 2, line 3: Payments to creditors.
"List all payments on loans, and other debts, etc. to any creditor within
90 days immediately preceding the case unless the aggregate value of
all property that constitutes or is affected by such transfer is less than
    $600.00."
My best guess is that they are asking for any individual PAYMENTS of
over $600.00, and not individual payments (less than $600.00) on
    DEBTS of over $600.00.
    Could anyone clarify?
Thanks, best wishes & best of luck!

    As far as income goes...

Gifts...Generally no, but how much are we talking about?
    Cash advances...No (those are loans).

      Thanks for your reply.
Christmas/Birthday gifts of cash from family $700.00 or less per event.

      Can anyone clarify this?

        Yes and no.

The SOFA (Statement of Financial Affairs) is simply asking if you paid more than $600 to any creditor in "one payment".

          Thanks HMM,
This is what I thought, but had been confused by different descriptions/wordings
in two different sets of instructions.
I assume that what they're seeking to identify here are any (large) payments that could be construed as "preferential".

Not to hijack, but how does that work with an American Express card? We were using it as a float and paying $3K-$5K every month (in the last few months, this has all been with balance transfers). Do they look at Amex differently since it's a charge card and not a credit card? (Of course, we do have a $20+K balance with them on their Sign & Travel plan.)

Ya I wonder the same thing SuzieBK... I use my amex for my business and charge, then pay off ~5k per month but that card doesn't have the option to NOT pay.
