Where can you read the different amounts from real people who were offered cash?

We bought our home which was a FC. It was in bad shape, no fans, no appliances. We put 50k into fixing it up all paid for by credit cards, this is one reason we are in this mess. Anyway when we move we are taking all the appliances, fans with us and selling them later.

If someone crys foul we can show them pictures of the place before we started fixing it up without all of those items. We are still leaving the house in a much improved condition then it was before.

Our house will be in mint shape other than the appliances in the kitchen. I added a fence to the backyard which wasn't there, plus I installed a $3,000 Culligan whole house water filter system because the iron in our water has been so bad. It was ruining all of our appliances. All of that is a permanent fixture. We used money from the 2nd mortgage to pay that.

That's hilarious. That's one reason why I am afraid to leave anything. If I don't take it, someone else will. I'd be giving it away for free if I left it.

So you just lose out on the "cash for keys" offer if you do that?

The thing is, the costs of moving will far outweigh any keys for cash offer. It's cheaper to stay in the house rent-free for as long as possible.

My sister's neighbor foreclosed, they took everything, the thing the neighboorhood was a bit shocked over.....

They took the garage door and one side of the BY fence!

This is California, all backyards ( well most anyway in the suburbs/cities) are fenced in on all sides, so they took the fence that separated the BY from the other neighbor on the other side!

How would you like to buy that foreclosure! AS IS! Yeah right.

So the house was left wide open with no garage door!?!?!?!?!

That's like having a huge sign saying, "Welcome squatters!"

What's one man's trash is another one's treasure. Whoever buys that foreclosed house dirt cheap and plans wisely will have again one nice property and a lot of equity as that area and the economy comes back. For those foreclosing or filing BK now, it will be a while before they can do something like that. It's just the economy and the good old American Dream at work...

                          Yep, wide open, still is!

It is a nice neighborhood too, the house is only about 8 years old.

Needless to say , the neighbors are pissed!

I can understand taking appliances, but the garage door? What are you gonna do with that, more of a PITA to store it or move it around than it is worth.

They were just being spiteful. All it really does is screw the neighbors and make the house open to vandalism and theft.

They have a crazy neighbor across the street that has a telescope perched out his window and watches people, my sis thinks he videotapes everyone too.

                          People are weird sometimes!

They should sue him for invasion of privacy, even if they don't win, just to piss him off.

Isn't that illegal to do that to the house? Can't somebody go after those original owners and sue them for criminal charges?

I am pretty sure it is illegal.

My sister thinks the crazy guy across the street with the telescope may have some pretty good evidence!

Probably be seeing the GD on Craigslist pretty soon!

Then all he has to do is offer video to the bank so they can go after the people. That's sad. I have no intentions on taking my garage door with me when I foreclosure and leave my house. The house will be in mint shape and we have zero intentions on doing any damage to the house whatsoever.
