I filed Chapter 7 on December 31, 2008 and haven't heard back from the creditor about surrendering my motorcycle. On my Statement of Intention I checkmarked that I will be surrendering it and I also wrote them a letter and asked when they will be coming for the bike. Like I said, no response from them so far.
My question is: how long does it take before it's considered "abandoned"? I'm guessing 60 days from my 341 meeting or when I'm officially discharged. Am I right?
If I don't hear from them by them can I consider it mine? And if so, can I sell it? I've read that they won't give me the title. That would suck.
Any experiences like this? Car, truck, motorcycle, RV?
