Just when I thought we were out of the woods...

I knew things were going way too smoothly for us.

My fiancee lost his job today. His child's mom hasn't paid us child support in over 6 months, and we're still waiting for the Dept of Revenue/state child support enforcement to start taking action. They're super slow.

So now I'm the only one in our little family of 3 with a job, or any income at all. And my job does not cover our basic bills. Up until now we've not been affected nearly as much as most people in this economy. But now, with new job prospects bleak at best, we are going to become a statistic of this economy.

I wish it had been me. He made twice as much money as I do. If it had been me, we'd be okay.

    Ouch!

Ref the State of Florida DOR/child enforcement, I have a friend that works there (tracks deadbeats) and, like ever other state, FL is stripping employees right and left. State employees were already some of the lowest paid of any state and what use to be a slow process is rapidly become no process due to lack of personal to do the job.

And guess who stripped help for the schools and states out of the bill coming down but pushed through tax cuts for large Corps . - jb
jb - A little knowledge is a wonderful thing - sometimes.
