Well, we survived our 341 yesterday!

Yes! Got through that much-feared hurdle. It really wasn't too bad. Lasted about 10 minutes.

Unfortunately, even though we were an hour early, we did not get to listen in on another meeting. And we were first! But thats okay. Just so glad its done. Our attorney was there and was pleased with the outcome. One creditor showed up - which I expected (a credit union where we have the 1st mortgage and 2 car loans). We met with the rep and our attorney after the 341. Of course they want us to sign a reaffirmation - we told them we were strongly considering it - and we are, but not totally sure yet. The UST was there but not for us - for someone else. Now the waiting begins...

The trustee did ask a lot of questions, but it went very quickly. It was taped. We were asked to state our name and address, the trustee looked at our DL and SS cards, asked if we read the schedules before signing, was it true, how long we have lived in this state and when we bought our home, asked where (what state) we moved from and did we have any property there (we sold it several years ago), asked about our former business, who bought it, (maybe trying to figure out if it was an insider deal - which it was not). Asked if we had any other businesses (we don't). Asked about my husband's job and his income from that. Asked if I have a job (I don't) and when I quit work (a year ago). How we came up with the value of our home. Thats all I can remember right now.

It did feel like a lot of questions compared to most of the people on here, but the trustee was nice and not intimidating. A few other couples were there - in a larger waiting room, but I think they were waiting for other trustees. Most of them looked scared to death. For some reason, by the time I got there, I was not too scared, just wanted to get it over with.
