    Checking Accounts & Bankruptcy

I logged onto a checking account last night that is with a bank where I've got cc debt I'm bk'ing. I was surprised after all this time the negative amount was less than $15.

Anyway, should I include this checking acct. in the bk? If I do, what are the implications? Will I forever be barred from opening a new checking account at other banks?

    thanks

No you wont be barred from opening checking accounts... If a bank pulls your credit report and sees you BK they may not open an account for you, but most banks use Chexsystems which would not see your BK. However if you only owe $15.00 I would pay it off and try to keep that checking account. Even with a bankruptcy

Wachovia an US Bank will still open accounts for you.... Wachovia doesn't even require you to live in the same state there branch is, you can mail your deposits to them
