As someone who has experienced depression of the dangerous sort and the "merely" paralyzing sort, I too urge you to not accept that your feelings reflect your value as a mother, as a human.
Depression distorts everything. I am, thank God, not depressed these days, and when I think about my name being public as part of bk, I say, "so what?" ... But in those depressed moods, I probably would have fallen into some deep shame and fear ...
Bottom line: don't trust those horrible feelings about yourself!
We love you here and your children need you and life needs you. I feel worried that you are really really harsh on yourself, and that's not helpful. It makes it harder to think clearly, to strategize, to have fun and notice the good things we do have.
