Just wondering.. My case has been discharged and closed. Is it still possible to be audited?? It just seems to good to be true that it could actually be over.
Thanks...
Yes, it's still possible. The new law requires that a certain percentage of cases be audited, but there's no way to know whether yours would be one of them.
I doubt it. Mine was one of the random audits and I found out a couple weeks after filing. I can't see why they would audit it if it's already closed (but I could be wrong).

After CLOSING??
I know that one in 250 or so is audited before discharge, but some are also audited after closing??

Not a random audit - those are done before closing because the bk law requires that one in every 250 cases be audited.
However, if your trustee gets proof that you filed fraudulently (typically by hiding valuable assets), your closed case can be reopened by the court and an investigation conducted by the trustee until the court is satisfied that no fraud occurred.
The chances of this happening to anyone here is ZERO if no assets are hidden, inside transfers of assets haven't been made, etc. The only people here who need be worried about this are those that did hide assets, made insider transfers of assets and didn't disclose them, etc. Take a deep breath and relax, everyone....be
