US Trustee is not going to object !!!!!!!!!!

Just had a wonderful call from my attorney.

The US Trustee took a review of my case, and has decided NOT to object!!!!

They said "We are declining this case"

Looks like clear sailing to the discharge!!!!!!!!!!

I'm definitely buying the first round tonight!

Yes, a few more weeks til the discharge. But since mine is an asset case, I doubt we'll be closing much before next spring from what my attorney says. The wheels of the Dept of Justice turn slow when it comes to administering claims, etc.

Thanks for the words, though. As like everyone else, this forum is a godsend and has helped me tremendously. I am just glad I get to give something back to others.

Do people always hear this pre-discharge news, or is it that the attorney in this case "knew" the Trustee, or ? Just curious.

No, the US trustee selects cases that are unusual, either higher than normal income or assets, or where fraud is suspected.

The US Trustee selected ours because of our income and that it was filed as a business case.

But our attorney walked us through it, I gave them a pile of documents, and they let it go..........

Whew! I bet that was tough, when you knew you were being singled out for auditing! But it sounds like you had a very good attorney! Again, congrats!
