Hello... Couple questions.

I am approximately 3/4 of the way through my chapter 7. I am awaiting discharge at the moment. My 341 was in Jan. Should be any day now. My fiancé and I were planning on getting married in May. He makes more money than me and we didn't want to screw anything up. Should be wait until after the discharge or can we stick with our plans and get married in May?
Not sure why my discharge is taking so long. Thank you.

You should determine what is holding up your discharge. A discharge is typically 60 days from your first "scheduled" 341 meeting. A simple call to the Clerk of the Bankruptcy Court could sort this out. You can ask your case status and what's holding up your discharge. (Sometimes it's a flag on the case, and sometimes it's just that the Trustee hasn't filed their report.)

Just did that. It looks like my attorney just now submitted the financial course info or else I would have had my discharge. Oh well. Maybe it will come soon.

See, the simple things in life. Glad you asked and I'm glad that it was something so simple. If your attorney files that today via CM/ECF, then you may be able to call the Clerk, again tomorrow, and ask about "what's holding up my discharge"? Some people have had the discharge entered right over the phone.
