Yes! Unlike child support, which is considered to be for the childrens' benefit, and is not taxable to you nor considered income to you, alimony is considered to be for your benefit. Thus, that money would be considered income for purposes of BK, and you would have to pay taxes on it as well.
Damn!! I want to stick it to him! But, again, our BK is over in 2.5 years and the money to go towards the debts. I have sooooo much proof he cheated it's ridiculous. It's amazing house smart a scorned wife can become. Or how stupid some husbands are.
