Car lease return with damage.

I have a car lease that is coming to an end and will be returning to dealership. The problem is, there is a small amount of paint damage to the fender and small holes in the door panels. Should I repair all of the defects or since I am in Ch13 just drop it off and walk away? All the payments that were in the lease have been made.

Fix it.

Strictly speaking, a lease is not a debt, as such, not subject to discharge. You either assume or reject the lease. Since you made all the payments, that is a pretty good indication you assumed the lease.

So, either fix it, or get dinged by the dealership...either way, you ARE paying for it. Sorry.
