Creditor on credit report after BK filed and was listed on the BK

I had a creditor(cable company)...they are listed on the BK as a creditor, they sent nothing to the trustee asking to be part of the 13 pay back...This month I notice on credit report a debt collector, saying I owe the same amount as the cable company's bill. I asked and they said that they represent the cable company. I sent them a letter stating that the cable company was listed on the BK...if they fail to remove deragatory info:

    What are my recourses?

Can I get the new deragotory information placed there by the debt collection agencey removed from my credit report??

Dispute the report with the credit reporting agency. The agencies have dispute instructions on their websites. Don't wait to hear back from the collector.

Filed Chap 13 April 2010. Discharged May 2015.
$143,000 in debt discharged for $36,500, including attorneys fees. Money well spent!

You can dispute it with the credit reporting agency by sending a copy of the bankruptcy discharge. I would also contact my bankruptcy attorney and make sure there wasn't any mistakes of why it might not be listed. Many times, creditors send the debts to debt collection and the collection company continues on trying to make the debt live by making it a zombie debt. It should be easy to take care of this. If it keeps coming back contact a bankruptcy attorney to see if the creditor is in violation of the FCRA, good luck!
