Mortgage showing as "CLOSED" what to do...what to do??

    Hello everyone,

Well, I am at the end of my Bankruptcy journey. Thank Goodness!! ;) I am awaiting my final hearing on 1/05/2012 to officially close my case since I won't be receiving a discharge. I'm happy just to be finished. Anyhow, I am trying to continously clean up my credit report. While perusing all 3 bureaus, I find that my mortgage thru Bank of America is non-existent on 2. The other Bureau states that is it "CLOSED" on the Month and Date I filed for Chapter 13. It is due to drop off of my CR on 2/2012.

Does anyone have experience with this? I need to know what to do to prevent the drop-off and how to remedy it being off my CR with the other 2 Bureaus.

BTW, my Trustee insisted my Mortgage be included in my Plan. It has been paid by the Trustee since Sept of 2006.

    Thanks all.
    Filed Chapter 13: 8/2006, Confirmed: 10/2006
Total # of payments: 60 / ZERO REMAINING!!
    Case CLOSED: 01/27/2012

I'm not clear about one thing.....are the mortgage payments still being made or is the mortgage paid off in full?

As far as the mortgage credit lines missing from two of your three credit reports, reporting to the three credit bureaus is completely voluntary for every creditor, and that includes mortgage holders. Unfortunately some secured creditors will stop reporting on-time payments after you file. The creditors say it's because of the automatic stay, but imho it's really a legal way to punish you for filing even though secureds aren't losing a penny as long as their payments continue.

You can contact your mortgage company and ask them to report your credit line to all three credit bureaus again. They might do it or they might not. You have nothing to lose by requesting it though.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
