I agree here. We have quads that we are financing and we are allowed to keep them. The payment, interest rate and remaining balance has also been reduced.

Had a boat with a 10 year lien (I know I should be shot for doing that) with 3 years left. Trustee said I could not keep it. Let bank repo it. They didn't want it. Finally after missing 13 payments they came for it.

Had motorcycle with 5 year lien 2 years paid off. Trustee said I could not keep it. Bank came immediately after confirmation for it.

Every district is different and "luxury" items were not allowed in our means test according to our attorney.

First thing on my list after bk is discharged is to replace lost motorcycle. It was my only hobby and with gas prices I will use it 9 months out of the year as primary transportation.
Filed July 2009. Discharged 08/08/2014. Awaiting closing. We made it !!!! Woo-hoo!

The motorcycle and payment was not even objected to or brought up at the 341 meeting last week at all. In fact NOTHING was brought up at the meeting other than the trustee's attorney asking our attorney to resubmit payment plan to reflect the tax return money we are getting back as I guess a percentage of that needs to be counted as income. Our attorney said our monthly trustee payment would probably go up slightly so I guess we will see what that turns out to be.
