Thanks everyone. It's been a battle getting here, but just last night the DH and I were talking about how proud we are of ourselves for recogonizing that we weren't going to be able to get out of our financial problems without doing this, and that at least we did it and now we're on the road to recovery. Our plan is much better than I anticipated, and we are going to save every cent we can for that rainy day. Five years is a long time, but we've already gone 2 years without credit cards so we're used to that. We replaced my car right before we filed, as suggested by our attorney, so we should be okay on that front barring any freak accidents (knock on wood).
Three months in and we are already seeing such an amazind difference in our stress levels. It truly is a miracle for us. I know not everyone has it as good as we seem to, and for that I'm sorry, but I'm also so grateful that our attorney got us a plan we can more than live with, that still allows us a life and we're not stressed out over bills and phone calls anymore. I have read the horror stories on here about plans that people can't really live with, that allow no wiggle room at all, and I was pretty nervous, but my attorney was fantastic and really worked to get us a plan that will allow us savings and some extra each month.
Maybe I'm naive, but I'm not at all worried about the next 57 months. Our plan is completely doable and definitely gives me more peace of mind that we aren't going to be struggling every single month like we were before.

It'll go by faster than you think; I cannot believe in 10 days it will be 1 year since we've filed and are nearly 1 year into making payments!
