We are 18 months into a 100% Chapter 13 payback plan, and have not been late on any payments. I have relocated due to my job. We got an offer on our house, where it basically pays off our mortgage. We've been putting off the buyers on signing the offer until we got approval from the Trustee, and they're about to walk. Today I got an email from the trustee's office saying that they denied the sale because our plan will go over 60 months. I have no idea where that's coming from. Our plan payments go up twice during the 60 months due to 401K loans completing. The only thing I can think of is that they didn't take the payment increases into account. I can't get a hold of our attorney. I figured there would be no problems with selling our house because 1) we're already paying 100%, and 2) we're not making anything off the sale of our house. I just don't understand why they wouldn't approve selling our house when selling it would only be helping us to make our Ch 13 payments.
