Awaiting job offer. BK going to bean issue

I should be getting a job offer Monday or Tuesday, but I'm starting to freak out because I'm in a 13.

On the form I filled out authorizing a background check, there was a line about a credit check. This is not a job handling money or in finance.

It's with a fortune 500 company.

The job will pay in excess of 100k so I don't think the anti-discrimination is valid here.

Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing? Thougts?

I was in a similar situation but i wrote down and let them know i was in chapter 13, and i got offered the job without a question! There are not many people who qualified for the job and only problem with me was chapter 13 so they didnt care. They even give me a company credit card the day i started!

Thanks. There was no where for me to notify them I'm in BK. I will just see if they bring it up I suppose. They really want to hire me so I'm hopeful it won't be an issue. If they ask I'll be honest, but I don't think I'm going to bring it up.

I'm hoping Im able to get a company card. Itbwill be a pain in the butt to have to use my debit for everything.

Many companies have you sign a form authorizing them to check your credit, but some of them don't actually do the credit check. I work for a large financial institution (not handling money) and was worried about the same thing. The recruiter told me that for my position the form was just a formality and they wouldn't be doing the credit check. I got the job.
