    Time allowed for claims?

Hi, I am not sure how to search for other threads on this topic or am not having much luck.

Just curious about this - my attorney mentioned the other day that I might "get lucky" and that one or more of the credit card companies may miss the deadline for filing claims against my case... and since I am on a 100% repayment plan, I may be able to wrap it up sooner than the current 5 year plan.

So I am just wondering - how long do the credit card companies have? My plan was confirmed on 3/1.

Also curious to know if anyone else has had this happen... where a credit card company misses the deadline?

They have 90 days from your first scheduled 341 meeting (if your 341 was rescheduled or continued the claim bar date does not change). Governmental units have 180 days however.

Bank of America (FIA Card Services) didn't file a claim on a $38k balance of mine, but did for a $5k balance. Go figure.

    Confirmed - 01/2010
