    need a drink (car loan)

So I have gone to two different places. One place guarantees financing.
Yesterday, one place said that they would approve if I was to pay $2900 UP FRONT.

The other place that guarantees financing tells me that they cannot run a credit approval until I am ready to sign.... URGH.

    Thank God this is Friday.

    Maybe I need a cosigner...

i went there the first time. It expired. they told me to go to carmax. carmax ran a loan with them at a better rate than what they had orginally quoted online (19% online vs 15% at carmax).

they gave me a loan at about 400 a month. Trustee said to get it at around 300. Since then it has expired. the salesman at carmax is not returned my resquest to redo the loan for a $300 a month payment.

If you want a lower payment, you'll need to buy a less expensive car. For 5 years @ 15%, stay under $12,500 total financed.

Get mortgage modified: DONE! 7 months of back interest payments amortized, payment reduced over $200/mo
(In the 'planning' stage, to file ch. 13 if/when we have to.)

what are my chances at a credit union? They appear to be slightly lax compared to banks...

I was just approved at my credit union at 5.65%, but I had to have a co-signer.

$2900 up front sounds reasonable - I would expect 20% down.
              19% dividend
