    Accuracy of 13 datacenter

    Help,
According to the 13 datacenter i've made 25 payments on my 36 month plan which began Sept. 07. According to the amount to satisfy my account I only have 4 payments left which would leave me done paying in April which is 4 months early. Trustee keeps telling me they'll send a statement and lawyer won't call back. Don't want to pay off early but don't want to fall behind. What to do?

The remaining amount owed you see on 13DataCenter is *not* reliable for payoff. You or your lawyer need to get the actual amount left to pay on your account from your trustee. Since your trustee already said they will send a statement, it's that statement you need to see the actual remaining amount left to pay your remaining unsecured creditors and the trustee's monthly admin fee.

If this is really a bee in your bonnet, then call tomorrow to make an appointment to meet face to face with your lawyer to talk this over.

Until you hear from the trustee in writing that payments are no longer necessary, keep making those payments. You don't want to mess up your 13 so close to the finish line. Any extra you pay in will be returned to you once your trustee completes the required audit for discharge.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

    06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13
    06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
    07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
    09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
    08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !

    10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go

I agree with Irprn, but wanted to add what the lawyer told me when I had this same question, when he finally called back that is.
The lawyers numbers and the numbers on 13 datacenter were pretty much a match, but I still don't completely trust the websites numbers. I will be paying off two months early because I had a few people who didn't file a claim. I am paying back at a true 100% and since they can't get anymore than 100%, I will be finished early. The Lawyer stressed, just like Irprn, to continue paying until the Trustee says to stop. The lawyer said it can take anywhere from two weeks to eight weeks to get a letter telling me to stop payments. Of course I will get the extra money paid in sent back to me.
It's been a very long 4 1/2 years paying 1200.00 a month. I should be completed in two more payments and sounds like you are going to be getting the dancing hamsters soon as well.

Great answer Irprn. Everything that Irprn said is correct. The only thing I hope is correct on the 13datacenter is the saying on mine,"About to complete" lol
