Got word form lawyer on Thursday that I do not have to attend confirmation hearing. Did an electronic signed, sworn affidavit through his office to satisfy the requirements of the trustee and judge. All it was about was if I am current on all of the assets I am paying outside the plan and a few more standard questions. Good news is that there was no change in the payments. He will file the actual signed papers this week. I am so happy! I would have had to miss work to attend and the wife is out of town on buisness and could not attend anyway. The countdown to financial bliss continues!

Sounds good, most of the time, if the debtor is represented by counsel, the debtor need not attend the confirmation hearing unless there is an unresolved contested matter between the debtor and chapter 13 trustee. But 9 times out of 10, your attorney will negotiate and resolve any dispute with the trustee and then typically file a notice with the court that the plan can be confirmed. (Verification of Confirmable Plan)
