    Confimation, how long?

Our confirmation hearing was Thrusday, any idea how long it then takes to be confirmed?

Also just so I understand, the confirmation hearing is basically for the BK judge to give a yes or no on our plan, correct?
Filed August 09, all payments made as of July 12th, 2013.....Waiting on final audit and discharge!

If your plan received no objections from your trustee or your creditors, and no one asked for an extension, then your plan was very likely confirmed at your confirmation hearing. You should be receiving something in the mail signed by the judge confirming your plan soon.

Yes, that's correct. According to the US Courts Ch 13 website at http://www.uscourts.gov/bankruptcyco...chapter13.html, "

If there were no objections to your plan, the judge's confirmation of your plan is really just a legal formality.

As lrprn writes, confirmation usually comes after your confirmation hearing. This may vary by District. In Florida, for example, the first confirmation hearing is in fact scheduled 45 days after the 341 Meeting. However, this is called an "Initial Confirmation Hearing" in Florida, and is always continued. In other words, you never actually get confirmed at the first meeting. The Confirmation Hearing is then "continued" until at least 30 days after the claims bar date (deadline to file a claim in a bankruptcy).

Personally, I like this method of continuing the confirmation rather than having the plan confirmed so quickly... without knowing what claims will come in. I had to amend my plan 4 times before confirmation. Amending a confirmed plan is a pain in the neck, and I, for one, am glad that Florida handles confirmation the way that they do.

I do not personally know how confirmation works in Ohio.

I think it depends on what state you are in. We are in Arizona & had our 341 in June, have made 6 payments & still not confirmed. On 9/14 our trustee submitted an order with a few objections (nothing major) & our attorney handled the issues.

On 10/15 pacer shows our attorny submitted an order to confirm our plan, not sure when will see confirmed. We just keep making our payments!
