Is there a way to view your BK13 account/progress online? Can you make payments online?

    Thanks!

If the trustee in your district participates, you should be able to view your information by going to www.13datacenter.com. However, I don't know of any situation where you can make payments online (I could be wrong, though.) Most trustees use wage deductions or require money orders/certified checks. I have seen from some postings on this site where the trustee does allow ACH payments (electronic transfers from your bank account), but that is at the trustee's discretion. Hope this helps!

As to your payments, that is determined by the trustee and the state in which you reside. My state requires payments to be deducted from one's paycheck and paid directly to the trustee by the employer. However, check with your attorney because if you have a good reason to avoid a payroll deduction (i.e., just starting a new job and you are concerned how it would be viewed by the employer), it may be possible to send in payments via certified checks or a money order. I haven't seen any postings in this forum about anyone making Chapter 13 payments electronically online with a trustee. The reason for that may be that many people in financial trouble may not have a computer to be able to do that and there could be a high probability of non-payment or account problems (i.e., insufficient funds).
