Just wanted to pop in again and thank you all for your support. This is such a stressful time and if I had not found this website, I would be lost.

I just want a chapter 13 plan that is reasonable. I know I will have to make adjustment and I admit that is a bit scary. I have never EVER budgeted in my life and that is one of the reasons I wanted to go with a 13 over a 7. I know I need to learn how to live within or even below my means. I also feel an obligation to pay back as much of my unsecured debt as possible. I just don't feel the trustee's fees should be padded and I want to at least feel that the lawyer I hire has my best interest at heart. Fake it okay? I just want to feel like you care even though I'm sure we are just a number. As I told attorney #2, this is MY life here! KWIM?

I think what lawyers and trustees both sometimes fail to recognize is that it's also in the creditor's best interest to make a reasonable and livable plan for CH 13. If the plan is outrageous, and you end up dropping out and not completing it, no one wins.

Woe is me, Totally Agreed. Why do they make plans that are set up to fail? If bankruptcy (either type) is "relief" then it should be done in a manageable way.
