    Money owed on taxes

Hello, I am relatively new to all of chapter 13 so please forgive me for all my questions.. I am not sure if I will owe on my taxes but I assume I will as I always seem to owe IRS and local. One, we filed on 12/13 and had hearing last week. I owe IRS 8K and have made payments with them. Now, it is through trustee. If I owe taxes, will I need to set up another payment plan with IRS? I really can't afford any extra expenses. If I do not owe, do you get an actual refund check? Or, do they use this for back taxes?

If you are currently in bankruptcy, do you have any protection from tax debt?

    Thanks for your help!

Your past due taxes prior to filing will be included in the plan. A Chapter 13 bankruptcy specifically protects you from all creditors which include the IRS and your local and State taxing authorities.

Just make sure that you inform your attorney if you owe for 2019 and that is included in the plan.
    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
