341-the easiest part of the whole process

Had our 341 Nov 15. Been traveling and moving on with life since then, but wanted to share this: If you have properly prepared, the 341 is nothing to be nervous about, just a formality.

Ours was a breeze, and not because the trustee was a kitten. I was squirming, listening to her grill those who came before us. So when we got up there (not an uncomplicated filing), I was expecting the same. Aside from the questions everybody must swear to, she asked us two things-one about a car registration that we gave her only a temporary for due to it's renewal two days before our paperwork was due and the other about why we didn't expect a hefty fed tax return this year (income way down but deductions almost non existent). Done. "This case is closed" came within 6 minutes of our sitting down.

    Woo-hoo!

Glad it went so well for you .
It is amazing the "torture" we put ourselves thru, leading up to the 341. Than when it's all done we go...yeah, the others were right, that wasn't so bad.
    good luck to you.

Great story--you're right, the 341 is the easiest part of the bk. At least, that was my experience too. Good luck with your new beginning.

A good bk attorney makes for a good 341.
