A big thank you to everyone who has shared so much great information with me over the past few months. It allowed me to be well informed and somewhat calm at the 341. Our case is a chapter 7 joint no asset case filed in the western district of Michigan.
The trustee was all business but pleasant. We were called up right on time and asked to show picture id and ss cards. We were sworn in.
Questions:
1. Did you both participate in the development of your petition?
2. Did you personally read the entire petition and all schedules and is that
your true signature on the documents?(Attorney flips through petition
showing us each signature line.)
3. Are there any changes to your schedules that you would like to make
at this time?
4. Have you used a credit card or done a balance transfer in the last 90
days?
5. Have you paid any creditor more than $600 in the last 90 days?
6. Has there been a change in your income since you filed your petition?
7. Have you transferred or sold any real estate in the last six years?
8. Do you expect an inheritance in the next 6 months?
9. How did you arrive at the value of your real estate?
10. How did you arrive at the values of your vehicles?
11. "Mr. xxxx(our attorney) do you have anything to add?"
"This meeting is concluded."
There were two cases before us, but we couldn't really hear any of the dialog.
Checked Pacer, trustee filed the standard no asset I ask to be relieved statement.
Thanks again to all who participate in this forum and share their experiences to help others!
