Check your credit reports after discharge!!!

I just was able to pull my Equifax credit report, appears I had to pay $15.95 to get it, the free annual was not working, I noticed both my cars, (leased and financed through Ford Credit) that I reassumed and reaffirmed were showing "Included in Bankruptcy" and also as a "Negative". I do not know why or where they are getting their info, I disputed that along with a few other things I noticed. Like a credit card that I opened in the early 90's say's that I opened it last year? I know the number changed and the bank was bought out, but still it should show history going back that far. I now have credit history only going back 11 years on a couple accounts I paid off as agreed.

All of the credit cards that were included in my BK, said $0 balance and "included in bankruptcy" so they go that right.

Anytime you are denied for credit (Barclay's? - Transunion?) you are entitled to a free report from whatever CRA is on the denial letter. You need to check all 3 reports, there will most likely be differences. Just so you are prepared, it can take a few rounds of disputes, phone calls and letters to get everything right. It took me over 6 months.

Yes, I am sure the letter will arrive. I just was anxious and did not want to wait too long to see what the story was on my report. I was able to dispute everything online with Equifax, but Experian is not allowing me to log in to my account and I have to call them which I will be doing today, not looking forward to that. I did have a fraud alert activated 5 years ago + on all of them, dumb mistake, a couple of my credit cards and debit cards were skimmed here several times, and I was concerned about my ID being stolen, but it created major headaches and I was able to get Trans Union to lift it after sending in proof of ID, but the other two did not acknowledge all the requests and I gave up.

I have to say, filing BK was the least stressful thing so far, cleaning up your credit reports and dealing with the 3 agencies is not fun.
