Where did my Equifax info go?

Weird thing! Applied for surgery loan (having lap band surgery). Was approved through Surgeryloans.com at 14.9% for 60 months with $500 down. They used transunion and came back with 702 score.

I decided I would try my credit union and when they ran my equifax, it only shows ONE account. Ironically enough its the new Lane Bryant account I just opened.

I have built and built and built and for some reason, NONE of my account, old, new, good or bad are there. I'm pretty perplexed. I checked truecredit and yep, blank!

Any ideas?

Please remember that not all creditors report to all three CRAs. Some to only one, some to only two, and some to all three. No rhyme or reason except maybe that they don't want to report to all three, set up account agreements and pay fees.

I had 33 accounts 1 month ago. And this is not just on true credit. My credit union pulled it also, and its blank except for one account.

CindyLou, it sounds like you have a split file. Equifax is noted for doing that when you have a certain number of accounts (but no one knows what that magic number is!). You will need to contact Equifax and get a hard copy. Talk to the rep there how you can unsplit the file or go to www.creditinfocenter.com and look up split files

Yep, split file! They said it would take 30 days to merge. So, I pulled another report using my previouly married name and old address and poof....there it is. The credit union let me fax over the real credit report and they approved my loan.....

Got my merged report in the mail today!!! Now that's fast!
