Can Creditor report Deliquency AFTER filing date?

I was just looking through my Equifax report and everything looks good as far as IIB. But I noticed that I have 7 negatives listed and each of those were reported in either June or July... Date of first deliquency. I filed May29th. Should they say this or can I dispute the date as it was reported AFTER I had already filed?

I should also add that I was indeed a few months late but in May that had not been reported on my credit report. So it seems like they wanted to get that one last negative in there. These accounts also have deleted my years and years of good payment history.

    oooh, grrrrrrr!!

that's it, i've got to print my reports out that i ran last night so i can keep an eye on this sort of thing. and a free bump for your thread, as i want to know the answer to your question too - can they take these negative actions against you post filing? i guess it isn't technically an attempt to collect the debt but it sure is......hostile.

Wait until after your discharge...there is no need to freak out right now about what is on there. Wait until your discharge goes through (give it about two months after you receive it) and then obtain all three of your reports and believe me, get a big bottle of Mr. Clean :-) And do not be in a rush - it will take a while to clean them up.

Mine weren't all updated until 60 days after discharge, then they magically started falling off one-by-one thereafter. I had a few disputes, but most of it reported accurately after about 2 months.
