5 months post BK...new car...good rates!

So, the car hunt/saga continues, as DH's Ford Windstar dies a slow, painful death! I went out on a limb today, and phoned up a local dealership, asked to speak with the finance manager and told him our tale of woe. He took down some info, and says he thinks he can help us out. A little while later, the NEW car manager calls me back, and says it looks like we can get you into a NEW car....not really what we are looking for, but with all of the rebates and incentives right now, looks like we'd be financially foolish to not consider it. Interest rate in single digits (5-7%), lower payments than a used car. May end up going with a lease, which is probably fine, too. Have about 6K saved for downpayment. Will keep you all posted on the details...really seems too good to be true.

The 6k down payment is really helping you out in this situation. With that much down the numbers he told you sound about right.
