CHEXSYSTEMS GONE! Fast!!

Thank you SARA4!! I did exactly what you said!! Got my chexsystems report. Faxed them over my BK discharge paper work. Called them up 3 days later and POOF. No trace of ANYTHING!! As clean as a whistle. I can't believe it!! Goes against all the consumer credit reporting rules! Usually they just zero out the balance and say included in BK, but apparently in the case of chexsystems they actually remove the account completely. So, people, get movin!! Get those reports and get to faxin!!!!! They didn't even have to do an investigation. They just looked at the discharge paper and removed it. I actually sent the notice of filing and the discharge paper both. I can't believe it. I thought Sara's might have been a mistake, maybe she just got lucky.....but the representative told me that this is actually the practice. If you file BK they remove it. Hey guys. I have the same perdicument and I Faxed in my info to Chexsystems on thursday. Should I just call them up next week and ask for status?

yep, when you call the number I posted above press 7 and then hold for a rep. give them your info and then ask if the accounts in question are still on your report. They are very friendly and helpful people.

Wow. I called this morning and they said the items have been removed. I had one that I included in our BK and another that was from 3 years ago and they said both have been removed. It only took 1 week, Crazy!
Yeah!
Now to apply for that CCU auto refinance to hopefully get rid of that 16.5% CapOne rate on our new vehicle.

Ok I did post a question about check systems and a chpt7. Am I understanding you guys right the once you are discharged send checksystems a copy of the creditors you included in your filing and they will remove them?

first, request a copy of your report if you haven't already. Then fax a request for investigation and removal of the accounts on your report and a copy of your discharge papers. ..... you don't need to even send the list of creditors, but wouldn't hurt, I guess. It was so easy I couldbt believe it!
