    8 days to go

8 days to go till our last day to object to discharge or dichargability. So far everything seems to have gone smoothly. Then why am I freaking out? I am so nervous about everything not getting done, or something unexpected coming up at the last minute. Filing was a non-event, I wasn't very nervous about the 341. However ever since we hit the two weeks to go mark I have been driving myself crazy. I know there are a number of others here who should have their last date for objections at the end of the month as well. Is anyone else as much of a nervous wreck?

We haven't recieved a reaffirmation agreement on our mortage yet. Called today and they should be sending it. Is it realistic to think we can get it in before the deadline?
Our stupid car payment got lost in the mail in December and was a month late. It actually arrived 6 days after our January payment did. But I called and they said our account is in good standing, all payments have been recieved and we are current. Reaffirmation was sent back to them last week. So don't know why I'm freaking out about that one.
We are planning to exempt our tax return because we need it to buy a vehicle for our family. My lawyer has told us we have the exemption. The trustee hasn't mentioned taking it. We are still a no asset case. But I am so scared something will go wrong and we will loose the tax return and will have to figure something else out to get a vehicle.
Once we buy the other vehicle we need to sell our too small, out of shape S-10 and I am causing myself needless worry about that as well.

So basically I am driving myself insane. Just looking for others to tell me I'm not the only one.

Jolly, i've just been there and done that! I freaked out like crazy our last 2 weeks. We had our mortgages reaffirms in, but our car company was dragging their feet on getting theirs back into the court. I called them several times, they said they were waiting on our lawyer, called our lawyer, he said the ball was in their court...grrrrrrrrr it drove me crazy!
I was freaking out because our last date was 12/25m yet I knew it would probably not be closed for another week after due to the holidays. I was so afraid they wouldn't send the last reaffirment in before closing. We were so fortunate though, the clerk of court left our case open until the reaffirment came in and that wasnt until 1/11/07! (bless our lawyers heart, I know he had to had called the court and suggested it). They discharged us and closed the day after the reaffirment went through. Nevertheless, we had no clue it was being held open and was on pins and needles.
Hang in there and try not to worry so much. Now I kjnow I worried way too much about nuttin! Good luck!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who waited till the last two weeks to start going crazy. I am, of course, imagining everything that could go wrong will go wrong even though that hasn't proved to be the case yet.

Well I guess I wasn't paranoid. Pacer was updated today to indicate the trustee thinks we have non-exempt assets and plans to go after them. I don't know what specifically. I assume post petition wages and our tax return.
A few choice cuss words are repeating in my head.
Our lawyer has been waiting to exempt our tax return until we knew for sure how much it was. He planned to exempt our post petition wages at the same time. I hope that is all that this is about. I also hope I get my W2 soon so I can file my taxes and have an amount to give the lawyer so this can get done.
Why the trustee decided to wait until a week before discharge I will never know.
