I am an authorized user only on my mother's Sears account. That account was not listed in my bankruptcy as I have no liability for that account. My attorney knew about this account. Sears has done nothing. I am still authorized to use this account and they did not notify my mother, the account holder. Other credit cards may have varying policies, but this was my experience. I am post 341 and nearly to my 60 days!

Where being an AU could be detrimental is if the owner of the card has late payments, stops paying and/or files BK while you are still an AU. If you are not removed prior to that as an AU, it will show up on your credit reports._________________________________________
