I have about 3K in stocks and I plan to file Chap 13 within the month. Is there a legal way to use this money before I file? (i.e. move to IRA or 529 Savings plan)?

I have about 15k in stock that was willed to me by my Grandfather. How will that effect or work in with filing a Ch. 13? My intention is to just pass that along to my daughter, but I am afraid that I will have to forfeit it.
