How long after filing bk and stating that you were going to "return" the car did your creditor (in our case a credit union) take to come and get your car? We're only 2 weeks post-filing, but I heard they have to wait 60 days, and then I read they have to wait 45 days, and I need to make sure...

Once you stop making your car payments generally how long is it until they come to get it? I had one guy tell me they come after the second missed payment or they get the notice of the bankruptcy.

Got discharged 11/23/10. Car taken 12/20/10. Thank goodness! The guy asked me "Do you wanna try to get it back!" My answer to that was um. . . "no." They were nice guys. They gave me time to get all my stuff. Glad that's over with.
