I was discharged from a chapter 7 BK in 2009. I had two homes that I did NOT re-affirm. However I did a loan modification with both lenders after the BK. I am NOT liable for the loan, and it does not report to credit. It was an agreement that the bank would not foreclose if I choose to make payments....

I'm posting this in hope someone else can be helped by my experience.
I searched high and low and could find no known instances of someone purchasing a new home while simply walking from a previous home which mortgage was discharged under a prior Chpt 7.

Well we are from arizona and we will be making our last two payments on our chapter 13 before the end of this month January 2011. What a feeling to know the new year is starting with the end of a pain in the butt.
We do not know what to do once they are all made. Do we sit after that and wait...
