    Dear Shipo:

Thank you. I was unaware they had so many branches compared with PenFed, which sailed through. I will be in Miami and in Los Angeles, so a trip to San Diego (with. limited access, I might get in or not) is kind of a trek. However, I have a doctor's appointment this Thursday...

  • Great info and thanks! I got a copy of the New York State Judgment. The statute of limitations is up until December 2024, so poof to that 40K judgment oince I send in the notarization forms. The 4 I found out about, I was not properly served, tempted to contest them. Also, they seem to be duplicates...

Hey there shipo! You sare certainly a guru and have a deep knowledge of how this rebuilding all works. Any way you would be up for a 5-10 minute call? My USA number (which is free for receiving calls) is 305-987-9688. I would be grateful any time you would be able to chat. Roderick Scott

I was. You are correct (apples and oranges, with the lower one for me at soon after discharge being the correct one, FICO8). NFCU declined my application, I don't know why. I sent a letter which was very polite, the DD-214, my birth certificate, a bank account and a copy of my recently renewed passport....

Hey Arnold: Thank you for putting in your posting. Some time ago, when i googled my name, I found that the only ones that went
all the way" were BofA using my mother's mailing address and through the same company (thankfully not on the first page, I had to type my name and Bank Of...

  • Thank you for the information. I just saw it the other day; I know it's here. I said to myself I should scan it in, but I didn't. You are very kind to be sharing your experience, thank you very much!...

Gosh. Yes, I can believe it. And thank you so much for the response. However, it does seem like the FICO 8 scores are very slow to recover. I will certainly not do any more hard pulls until they are over 700 or probably 720. I had the best card (I like to do travel and points/miles; my mother liked...

Thank you. It's going to be a lot longer haul than I expected. I was looking at Credit Karma and Experience MyFICO but they are Vantage 3.0 scores, and I thought 2 of my 3 scores were in the low 700's. Indeed, the FICO 8 scores on the Experian 3 score monthly reports are FICO 8 scores and all around...

You are correct. I checked they are vantage three scores, not fico 8. Why do they even publish them if nobody uses them??...

Good to know; thank you so much. Looks like +2 years is good with PenFed, so I won't even try I think at 4 months out (from discharge hearing) only discharged 7/29/24, so not even 2 months from final court proceeding!)

    I have some questions:
    • Regarding the SSL; the most common approach, and the approach I took, is to drop $3,000 (some folks say $3,001) into a savings account at either PenFed or NFCU, let it age for 30 days, and then take out a five year loan for that amount. Once the loan is approved, take the loan

  • Wow. How kind of you to give me this information. I am new on here and really appreciate it! I need to find my father's honorable discharge. I think it's called a D-224 form or something like that. I saw it within the last month, but someone came over and cleaned my apartment, and I am still looking...

  • I am living out of the country (Brazil) as my Social Security can barely allow me to live like a human here in Sao Paulo. I have all the credit I should not have here (3 infinite visas, 2 Black MasterCArds, one an Aadvantage from Santander.). At any rate, my ch 7 discharge was very recent 7/29/24....

  • Does Anyone know about Navy Credit union?

I don't have an account, but I wondered. (I heard PedFed waits 2 years before considering you.) I did not burn either of them; I am looking for low interest rates if I need to go into revolving for a month or so. My Dad is an honorably discharged Navy guy, so I think I qualify for an account. Thanks...

Discharged ion 7/29/24., Looking forward to hearing the stories. I am afraid I burned all the good cards (Amex, Chase, Citi, Barclays...etc.). Cap one immediately forgave, maybe because I continually had a checking and savings with them even though I burned them (1.6K, very low about to my 336K that...

I declared Chapter 7 in California in April. In late May 2024, we had the creditors' meeting, and the trustee was discharged. Right away, I got a 3,000 Savor One from Capital One and a Mission Lane with 1.5K. It's a start. Then my local credit union gave me a 1K m/c, so I guess the game starts with...
