I became a Texas attorney in May 2017. But prior to that, I had extensive experience in the bankruptcy field since 2003 when I went to work as a paralegal for a consumer bankruptcy law firm in Houston, Texas. I also spent 7 years working for Chapter 13 Trustee William Heitkamp in Houston, rising to become a Supervisor and Senior Paralegal to the Trustee.I have also taught bankruptcy law as an adjunct faculty member for an ABA-certified paralegal studies program at San Jacinto College in Houston. I worked for Law Office of J. Thomas Black, P.C. as a full-time paralegal since April 2013, while going to law school in the evenings until I graduated and took and passed the Texas Bar exam in 2017. I then cointinued to work fo the firm for over a year. I have now started my own firm Michael Hardwick Law, PLLC.
