John Brannon is an experienced creditors’ rights attorney who represents clients in business and commercial litigation in state and federal court, with a special emphasis on creditors’ rights and business bankruptcy and receivership matters. Over the past 26 years, he has prosecuted claims on behalf of, and/or defended claims against, bankruptcy trustees, court-appointed receivers, creditors’ committees, debtors, companies, financial institutions, individuals, vendors, suppliers, commercial landlords and tenants, personal injury creditors, working interest and royalty owners, and other landowners. He has assisted numerous companies in acquiring assets out of bankruptcy and in pursuing their claims against financially distressed or bankrupt entities, and has provided counsel on how to deal with such entities both prior to and after they become financially distressed. He has also assisted debtors in chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and proceedings.
