James Elliott is a Tampa, Florida native. Mr. Elliott attended Jesuit High School and graduated in 1996. He then attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL and graduated with honors in 2000. He continued his education at Florida State University earning his master’s degree in International Affairs, after which he earned his Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse University in New York. While at Syracuse, Mr. Elliott served as the Article’s Editor for the Labor Lawyer Journal and earned a Certificate of Concentration in Corporate Counsel. More recently, Mr. Elliott earned a Certificate in Financial Management from Cornell University and has published several articles in various legal journals around the country. Mr. Elliott began his career as a judicial extern with a former bankruptcy judge, Judge Stephen D. Gerling. James continued to practice bankruptcy in Tampa, Florida and joined McIntyre Thanasides Bringgold Elliott Grimaldi & Guito P.A. in 2010. He focuses his practice on providing his clients with individualized financial solutions. Mr. Elliott guides clients through estate planning, personal and business bankruptcy, out-of-court debt restructuring, and assists clients in forming financial plans that meet their particular goals. Mr. Elliott is a Board Member of the Temple Terrace Bar Association, a member of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and a member of the Florida Bar. In addition to growing up in Tampa and dedicating his career to helping Tampa Bay area residents, Mr. Elliott also raises his family of two children in Tampa. He enjoys volunteering as a youth soccer coach for the Florida Soccer Club.
