At my firm, bankruptcy is all we do. By focusing just on bankruptcy, we are able to keep our skills sharp and maintain great relationships with the local bankruptcy trustees and bankruptcy judges. Those relationships are extremely important when choosing a bankruptcy attorney.I have been practicing law since 2001 and opened my own bankruptcy law firm in 2006. I have filed over 1,400 bankruptcy cases and have counseled with thousands of individuals about Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy. My firm colleagues and I work very hard to ensure that each bankruptcy client is treated with dignity, professionalism, and compassion. We take pride in establishing meaningful relationships with our clients. In fact, a good percentage of our bankruptcy clients come from referrals from past bankruptcy clients.I graduated from Brigham Young University in 1998, cum laude and received my Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, in 2001 from Brigham Young University. In 2007, my four kids, wife, and I took a one-year Sabbatical and moved to Pohnpei, a remote tropical island in the Pacific. While in Pohnpei, I worked as a Staff Attorney for the Supreme Court of the Federated State of Micronesia.I believe in community service and helping our young people. My bankruptcy firm sponsors a scholarship that focuses on educating high school seniors about financial literacy. I have been actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America, receiving my Eagle Scout Award as a young man, and having more recently served in adult leadership capacities. Two other members of my firm have received their Eagle Scout as well. I have rendered pro bono legal services for the indigent and elderly with Legal Services of Northern California. I am actively involved in my church and for many years taught a daily Bible study course to local high school students.
