Ori focuses his practice in all areas of Bankruptcy and Insolvency, as well as State and Federal Receiverships.Ori represents both secured creditors and debtors in bankruptcy related matters involving reorganization, distressed assets, asset sales, and related litigation matters.Prior to joining ECJ, Ori worked at a boutique law firm in Beverly Hills as the Managing Associate Attorney, primarily handling complex chapter 11 reorganization matters. In November of 2013, he confirmed the largest individual chapter 11 reorganization plan in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California, Santa Ana Division.Ori has been selected to the Super Lawyers – Southern California Rising Stars List for 2014-2018. From 2015-2017, Super Lawyers recognized him as a Top 100 Up and Coming Attorney in the Southern California Rising Stars.Ori served on the Los Angeles County Bar Association Board of Trustee’s as the Barrister Trustee and was Chair of the Barrister’s Networking Committee. Since May of 2014, he has served as a Commissioner on the Human Relations Commission for the City of Beverly Hills. In February of 2015, he was elected as Chair of the Human Relations Commission. Ori is currently a member of the Beverly Hills Mayor’s Next Beverly Committee and Beverly Hills Rotary Club.Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ori graduated from UC Berkeley in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. He received his J.D. from The University of West Los Angeles School of Law. While in law school, Ori clerked at Bet Tzedek Legal Services, working on unlawful detainer cases on behalf of tenants. He currently serves on the Board of Managers for The University of West Los Angeles.Ori is a graduate of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles’ New Leaders Project, and is a Steering Committee member for the American Friends of the Hebrew University.Ori has a passion for Soccer and is a certified scuba diver. He is fluent in Hebrew.
