Lindsay M. Barton is an associate focusing her practice and providing client guidance in Real Estate, Estate Planning, Civil Litigation, and miscellaneous legal matters.Lindsay graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. While at Berkeley, Lindsay was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority and had the fortunate experience of working and studying in Spain where she gained command of the Spanish language and exposure to its cultural, political, and legal systems.Lindsay received her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. During her tenure at Loyola, Lindsay was distinguished as a top oralist and top competitor brief writer for the Scott Moot Court Team.Lindsay practiced law in California for four years before making the transition to Virginia, where she has been practicing since 2015. She still maintains an active license for the state of California in addition to holding an active attorney license for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Lindsay has experience ranging from public interest law, prosecution of gang members, to private practice insurance defense, domestic relations, estate planning, and civil litigation. She also is certified as a Guardian ad Litem for children.Lindsay is a contributing author to “A Legal Resource Guide to Navigating Breast Healthcare Options in Fresno County” (http://drlcenter.org/assets/clrc/state%20specific%20publications/california/KomenCentralValleyGuide2012Final.pdf) and always tries to ensure she pours into her community and leaves people better off than when they first meet.Lindsay lives in Chesapeake, Virginia with her husband and son and enjoys boating with family, traveling, offshore fishing, and a whole lot more.
