Please help.... I read that a Domestic Support Obligation is for "alimony, maintenance or support". In my divorce, he was awarded a DSO for me to pay him back a massive amount of debt that is the result of credit cards, etc. I know little about BK other than DSO's cannot be discharged by Chapter 7, but (maybe) through Chapter 13? Other than understanding that more, I want to know if this credit card debt in the divorce settlement was properly classified as a DSO anyway. Because if that was in error (??) then perhaps those debts can be discharged after all? I appreciate the help here and advice, thanks.
