Credit Report Monitoring is Worthless

I just received a free one year of credit monitoring from the Target card stealing incident. They will notify you that something occurred to your credit file(s), but they don't tell you what that is. I called the Bank in my recent alert with the number listed in the alert, but I need an account number which I don't have. I have put a credit freeze on all four of the credit bureaus and just thought I would let you know my experience with so called credit monitoring.

I got that too....didn't shop at Target but had their credit card.I ignore the emails as I find it worthless as well.
