Anybody have experience negotiating a total loss claim with auto insurance adjuster?

also interesting you mentioned about your homeowners insurance company coming out to your place. we just had that happened to us for the first time in our lives. i COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! they email a picture with a finger of the branch of a queen palm tree touching our roof by approx an 1 inch! also pictures of the tiniest maybe 2 inch crack on our concrete by the deck of the pool. i call her and said ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? i have life and death issues i deal with everyday of my life and you are going to bother me over this?? i said i could understand if there was an entire branch touching our roof, or if there were deep cracks in the concrete, but you are talking about nothing here. i told her thanks for telling me and if one of the leaves on the palm hits the window i will not call them for a claim.

is this new? we think it's because the BK?? in the 30 some odd years we had our other home, which had ponds, railings, to me, accidents waiting to happen we never ever even had an insurance person come out to review anything.
