i miss the site period! since the email notifications stopped so did people. many would check to see if one of the threads they were either watching or interested in had any new info...but we all know back in dec., that all changed and the admin decided ( and i know this only because of other sites i'm involved with that use the same software), all fixed the problem and the sites are thriving. i don't know how much of thats true, all i know it it changed this site forever.

i come back and stay a while and then move on where the boards are moving on as well....like new subject matters we are all faced with after our bk's etc.
this was one hoppin place with great people. (of course there still are great people), it's just the format and attitudes have looked sadly as though they moved on

Tobee, this site was invaluable to me during my BK and trying to build my life after BK.... My only stumbling block was staying married to hubby who got us into BK in the first place. Now that after our BK he lost two more jobs because of being lazy and fat, I have moved on and my life is finally getting on track, since I no longer have someone pulling me down at every turn in the road. I miss getting the email alerts as that is what kept me coming back, but then I would forgot to pop in and this am I decided I needed to see how everyone was doing....

yes, that's my point about the emails, but i have a feeling the admins and Laz may be just letting the site go at this point. especially, in light that there is never announcements, no communication etc. but some of us die hards just keep stopping in to see what's going on. also personally for me i put a ton of work into the blog area and need to begin to get it moved out. like moving our of our old comfy house i guess.

i'm so glad you finally got your life back on the right road. i know for many bk, divorce, illness, job loss etc., had been some of the contributing you factors of why people sought our the site in the first place. so many people in similar situations. i think that's the bond here. but like you said and i keep saying no notices i guess indicates to me that no one want's us notified.

it eventually becomes a "dead" site. too bad like i said, so many great people, ideas, and direction for so many.

I think the site is great and in fact is one of my favorites because there is no attitude here. Maybe before the site goes dead they offer admin of it to someone who cares? Just a thought.

well i finally pm's HRx, not that i'm expecting an answer. i'm hoping for one, we'll see if maybe we can get some insight i'm pretty sure maybe he/she could give a clue as to the future of the site. since they stopped the emails it might be a our biggest clue.

Hello, All. I just enjoy this site so much, and hope it sticks around for awhile. I'm about 2/3 through my chapter 13 that I hope to keep. The advice I've found from here has been invaluable. Like a lot of people, I don't believe in posting about my private life (my bankruptcy, being a widow, my COPD) to sites like FB or Twitter.

personally, i have never been on any of those social media spots. they scare me to death. i know you just post what you want, but i don't like people knowing my business. this site provided the privacy i needed to vent and express all the ups and downs of experiencing some pretty life changing events, for me, at least.

me too keep. i know people do move on and all, but, like i said if they revamped a bit with some of the subject matters and got those emails going maybe some of those that use to come may come back. after all, many times what made me hit the 'button" was the email response to a thread i had been watching or participating in.

now i just come in and out because i have this nice computer sitting next to all my work i'm doing and i'm so OCD i have to do two things at once or i have a difficult time functioning! like type in a thread while i'm filing a lien LOL!! good thing i work from home.
