I didn't think the raise in the Social Security tax was going to be that bad ($156 less/ month), but that has been compounded with a raise in our health care insurance contribution ($128/month). That is $284 net less a month coming in per month or $3408/year! That increase takes away the paultry raise we got last year and the two previous years. Looks like the belt gets tightened another notch. The next 18 months cannot move fast enough! Hail the recovery!
